Hi everyone,

The end is in sight, the P1 class has one more final tomorrow.  P1 has been an adventure filled with countless exams, practicals, assignments, and studying, but also endless amounts of unforgettably fun times with friends such as Snow Ball, Relay for Life, the Dance Show, Spring Fest, and Half Way.  It has been a long semester and everyone is looking forward to relaxing and working a bit for the summer.  I am excited to experience my first rotations this summer in a community pharmacy and a public health setting.  I hope finals have been going well for everyone and have a wonderful summer!

Hi everyone,

It is hard to believe that today is already the last day of classes for the semester! Time really does fly by! Good luck with finals and I hope everyone has a relaxing summer!

Hi everyone!

It has been a very busy weekend on campus here in Albany!  Friday was Spring Fest, where there was lots of food, music, and lawn games.  It was a very fun event!  Yesterday, our campus hosted several accepted students - we can’t wait to welcome them this fall!  Another event yesterday was APhA’s Medication Take Back event.  The event was set up like a drive-thru where people could drop off their unwanted or expired medications.  Students and faculty collected the medications to be properly disposed.

Have a great last week of classes and good luck studying for finals!

Hey everyone!

Tomorrow is spring fest and I’m really excited! There’s going to be live music and a lot of fun activities! My roommate is helping to plan the event and he said there will be an obstacle course, wrecking ball, and defender dome. Lawn games (volleyball, bocce, kan jam, bag toss, and ladder ball) will be scattered throughout the field too! They usually have a food truck as well so I’m ready for a day of fun and food!

Happy Earth Day!

The ACPHS Green Initiative is celebrating Earth Day this year by hosting a Green Week!  Some of the activities involved are making a GREEN smoothie, potting plants around campus, learning about local businesses and organizations and how you can get involved, a plastic bag take-back, and a GREEN yoga class.  It is going to be a great week and a great way to celebrate and promote awareness of our environment!

Hi everyone!

This past weekend, the ACPHS community had their annual Wegman’s Leadership Banquet to honor and congratulate all the student leaders on campus.  There were members of each club, organization, and sports team on campus there.  There was great food and many awards were distributed.  It was a great way to celebrate our campus leaders and congratulate each organization on their many wonderful events from the semester.

Hi everyone!

Yesterday, Dr. Anderson from the University of New Mexico was in Albany to present to the students about the role of clinical pharmacists in New Mexico.  He gave a wonderful presentation about the future of pharmacy and helped inform students about issues that will be addressed at the upcoming NYS Legislative Day at the Capitol!  In addition, there were several raffle prizes and a Meet and Greet following the presentation!

This past weekend, the third year class celebrated their Half Way Dance!  There was food, music, dancing, and friends.  It was a great night and an awesome way to celebrate!
